Get to Know Me

I'm currently a software development engineer at Amazon Prime Video. I work on the re-engagement carousels and "Watch List" backend services. The re-engagement carousels include Continue Watching, Start Watching and Watch It Again carousels; in other words, my team's services manage content a customer has explicitly interacted with in some manner on the Prime Video Platform. I have experience in distributed systems, machine learning models and several AWS services, such as Sagemaker, DynamoDB, Lambda and S3. I graduate from UC Berkeley in 2017 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. After graduating, I was interested in learning more about a topic that's having quite a moment in the tech world. Any guesses? That's right! Machine Learning! While completing my masters at UCLA, I spent 5 months doing research on deep learning methods for automated image segmentation, wrote a thesis, and even contributed to a paper publication! With a strong understanding in machine learning, I decided to switch gears completely and embarked on a journey to learn about a completely different topic: wireless technology and embedded systems. At Qualcomm, I worked on a project collaborating with JPL to build the next generation space platform.

Enough about the technical talk: in my free time you can catch me at the beach or exploring the next best sunday brunch location with friends and family. When describing my palate, I would say it's anything but ordinary: I'm talking earl grey macarons and honey lavender flavoured anything! I've been bitten by the travel bug and my goal is to visit at least one new place every year. In summary, I'm an inquisitive soul that still craves to explore, learn and discover.
